Rockridge Real Estate and Surrounding Areas

Rockridge

Rockridge is considered a model of a sustainable neighborhood commercial district with a variety of transportation options. At its center is a BART station and the popular Market Hall, where one can find all of the freshest ingredients for any meal. The business district is also teaming with cafes, boutiques and some of the Bay Area’s most notable restaurants. Surrounding the avenue on tree-lined streets are primarily two and three-bedroom homes ranging in style from Craftsman and Victorian to California Mediterranean and ultra-modern. The Rockridge district is home to a diverse group of residents and remains one of the most sought after neighborhoods in the East Bay.

Upper Rockridge

Upper Rockridge real estate includes a hilly enclave of luxury homes and mansions, largely rebuilt after the devastating Oakland-Berkeley Hills fire of 1991. In this exclusive residential neighborhood, one can find some of Oakland’s most beautiful and expensive homes. Styles run from Mediterranean (Spanish, French Provencal, Tuscany) to English Tudor, interspersed with ultra-modern. The views of Oakland and San Francisco Bay are breathtaking. Most of the Upper Rockridge homes also enjoy the K-8 public school, Hillcrest, which is one of the city’s best.

Claremont Pines

One of the most prestigious and quiet residential areas in Oakland, the Claremont Pines neighborhood consists of mostly large properties with beautiful landscaping surrounding the exclusive Claremont Country Club. Corporate and retired executives, entrepreneurs and golfing enthusiasts enjoy the proximity to the upscale Rockridge shopping district and freeways, as well as the central location and breathtaking San Francisco Bay views.

Hiller Highlands

The Hiller Highlands area is located in the North Hills of Oakland, and enjoys arguably the most spectacular San Francisco Bay views in the East Bay. The neighborhood consists of single-family homes and townhomes many of which belong to the Hiller Highlands Association. The center of life in this residential community is the Hiller Highlands Country Club, offering tennis and swimming as well as a popular clubhouse. Hiller is conveniently located at the intersection of Freeways 13 and 24, and is convenient for residents commuting to Contra Costa County, as well as the greater San Francisco Bay.
